The Goverment of Catalonia has announced early this week the opening of the nightlife establisments, after it remain closed during several months. Today, the Higher Court has aproved the resolution which will allow the opeing of the clubs and the use of the Covid Certificate as requirement to get acces to it.
But... Dancing is allowed?
Yes! No more dancing in your chair... These are the measures to be implemented by the establishments:
Request for COVID Certificate at the entrance.
70% capacity
Open dance floor
Standing is permitted, except on the dance floor.
Mandatory use of masks, except for consumption.
There is no obligation to keep a safe distance.
What are the requirements for access to music bars and clubs?
Free access to music bars, nightclubs and discotheques will be granted to those who have a full CoV-SARS2 vaccination schedule, have a negative PCR/TAR test or can prove that they have been free of the disease within the last 6 months.
Leisure premises will have an application that will read the QR code of the EU/UK COVID Certificate. This app will check the validity of the certificate presented and allow - with a green light - or deny - with a red light - entry to the venue. The app will not display any personal information beyond the certificate holder's name and date of birth.
Citizens from outside the EU or the UK must present a negative PCR/TAR test carried out in a centre approved by the Goverment of Catalonia
I already have my COVID certificate or my negative test, where do I go?
In view of the Generalitat's announcement, most entertainment venues have rushed to resume their usual programming and to be able to open this Thursday (Thursday night to Friday), when the Generalitat's resolution comes into force.
So, for the moment, these are the LGTBIQ and Gray-friendly events and clubs that will be open this weekend in the city:
